Good day people, how has your week been so far? I hope great. I discovered there are so many interesting buildings out there so I decided to post a few collections of them so you can have a look.

Enjoy the read.

Shell House, Isla Mujeres, Mexico – The Conch Shell House is said to be the most outstanding and original house in the island of Isla Mujeres. Surrounded by Caribbean Ocean (180 degrees of ocean views from the windows) it gives you a unique opportunity to experience what it’s like living in a Sea Shell. The conch shell house was built using a fairly traditional foundation, such as concrete, as well as recycled and found materials.

Ripley’s Building Ontario, Canada -This unusual structure of the building is a commercial complex as it is the head office of a very renowned television serial “Ripley’s believe it or not”. The complex is located in Ontario, Canada. The structure of the building appears to be cracked by a hurricane. It is these cracks in the building that are the distinctive features of the structure. The construction of the amusing odd building was completed in the year 2003. It is unique in its self and has no match to it in the entire world; hence the building is one of the most renowned man made structures of the world. This building is one of the major tourist attractions of Canada.

Stone House Guimarães, Portugal- Located in the Fafe mountains of northern Portugal, A Casa do Penedo, or “The House of Stone,” was built between four large boulders found on the site. Although the house may seem rustic, it is not lacking in amenities, which includes a fireplace and a swimming pool carved out of one of the large rocks.

The Basket Building Ohio, United States- The Longaberger Basket Company building in Newark, Ohio might just be the strangest office building in the world. The 180,000-square-foot building, a replica of the company’s famous market basket, cost $30 million and took two years to complete.

The Hole House Texas, United States- A condemned house in Houston, Texas was sucked into a small wormhole, its wooden facade slowly slurped through another dimension and spit out into an alley behind the backyard. This bizarre mash up of real estate and theoretical physics was created by local artists Dan Havel and Dean Ruck, although Sadly, this exhibit has been torn down but it’s weird science flair lives on.
