Types Of Doors

A door is a hinged cover to an opening in a wall, it is classified according to where it is used.
Doors used in entering a building are called external doors, while doors used within a building are called internal doors.

Doors can be further classified by their method of operation which are:
• Hinged or swinging doors.
• Sliding doors.
• Folding doors (these are also hinged).

It’s main functions are:

• To allow access into a building.
• To allow access to other parts of a building.
• To prevent outside elements such as rain and dust from entering the building.
• To prevent the passage of fire from one room to the next.
• To provide a thermal and sound insulation barrier.
• To offer security and privacy.

One can install different kinds of wooden door but the thing to remember is wood chosen must be hard and long lasting otherwise you may end up changing the doors for ever because cheap wood gets rotten and most times not termite proof.

Steel gates are often installed at main entrances (exterior) and wooden doors are majorly installed as room gates (interior). Steel gate provides hard look and long lasting appeal to the home.

There are many advantages of steel doors here are some of them:
• Steel doors are strong- Steel gates are strong and hard which make them sustainable in many ways. Due to its hardness they serve prominent security purpose in homes and offices.
• Good budget – Steel doors are convenient and affordable to install because they are less expensive than fiberglass and wood.
• Appeal – Steel doors are more appealing than any other door because of their toughness they give a hard and pleasant look. You can choose steel gates in a number of designs and colors.
• Warp and Termite resistant – This is the most peculiar quality of steel it never gets warped or cracked like wood and also it is not prone to termite attack.
