Build Vs Buy? War Of Your Pocket

Buying a house or acquiring a piece of land to build your house which will you prefer?
In this series, we are going to highlight and analyze some of the advantages of building a house over buying. At the end of our analysis you are going to know which is better, so many people have reached crossroads over this decision.
There are a number of reasons buyers might be torn between an existing house and the prospect of building their own home. An existing house is a known quantity that’s usually ready for habitation within 30 to 60 days. Although building your own home lets you control every element of its form and function.
Here are some of the advantages of building:

  •  It will cut down budgets: you save more money if you are building your house yourself than when you are buying one because the developer builds for sale with every intention of making profits, but when you build that profit margin is cut down from your budget, therefore you will spend less when you build your house yourself.

  •  You are sure of the materials used for your building: You are sure of the materials because you will actually monitor the quality of materials that will be used for your building project. While substandard materials may have been used for a standing building that you want to buy and you will never know because you were not there when the project was ongoing.

  •  Designing to suit your taste: If you are building your house yourself, you design to suit your taste perfectly without extra cost, but if you are buying a standing house you can only achieve little with remodeling which will cost you extra money.

  •  Problems from External works (septic and waste water tanks): Building your house gives an edge to be rest assured of your septic and waste water tank designs, you will be able to ensure that all designs and mechanical works are done according to its required specifications. If you are buying a house you will have no idea about how the design of your septic and waste water tanks were carried out, trust me there would be more problems if that location is water logged and these designs are not done properly because after usage for some months you will find out that when you flush your toilet waste water will begin to clog.

However, if you have a very specific budget in mind, purchasing an existing home might be a good option. Once the owner accepts your offer, in this case you don’t have to worry about details of building materials.
Have a nice day.
